To great expectations, Grupo Experiencias Xcaret opened its sixth theme park today, which invites visitors to play with their senses and their mind, and thus venturing into a new category of entertainment that has no precedent in Mexico, or the world.
Thus Xenses adds to the entertainment that Experiences Xcaret offers in Cancun and the Riviera Maya for the more than 9 million visitors that are received each year in this part of Quintana Roo.
Experiencias Xcaret President, Miguel Quintana Pali, said that Xenses is a park that summarizes a concept that he had been working on for many years, almost since the first time he went to a sensory activity, when he was young. He stressed that along with his son David Quintana, he developed the most important creative and collaborative work of his career, thinking of all kinds of audiences, from children to the elderly.
In his speech, the Vice President of Experiencias Xcaret, Carlos Constandse, said that there are just a few places of sun and sand that complement their natural attractions with rich culture and gastronomy, with the hospitality of their people, and the out-of-the-ordinary activities that you can do in Quintana Roo.
Constandse stated that Xenses “expresses the creativity and talent of Mexican men and women to enrich the experience offered by this tourist destination, as it breaks the monotony which our senses are used to, and invites us to discover emotions that we’ve hardly ever faced.”
The inaugural ribbon cutting, which was actually made of wood, took place with the participation of David Quintana Morones, Director of Development for Experiencias Xcaret; José Luis Toledo Medina, federal deputy for Quintana Roo; José Luis Rangel Esquivel, Executive Director of CPTM Representative Offices; Oscar Constandse Madrazo, Vice President of Experiencias Xcaret; Marcos Constandse Retko, Managing Director of Experiencias Xcaret; Raúl Andrade, Secretary of Tourism for Quintana Roo; and Darío Flota Ocampo, Director of Trust for the Promotion of Cozumel and the Riviera Maya.
Xenses involves an investment of 25.5 million dollars and is part of Experiencias Xcaret’s strategy to diversify tourism in the most important destination of Mexico. The parks that Experiencias Xcaret already operates are: Xcaret, which completes 25 years of being an embassy of Mexico; Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego and Xoximilco. The company also includes a division of tours to the archaeological sites of the Mayan Peninsula, through their Xichén brand, and a tour to four different kinds of cenotes under the brand Xenotes.
