Xcaret Park in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, for the third consecutive year, was granted the award as the best theme and water park in the world, according to the opinions of the most important travel agencies in the United States. Xcaret was awarded the silver version of the 2018 Travvy Awards.
During an emotional ceremony held at Gotham Hall in New York, María Cuevas and Claudia Rosas, from the Sales and Business Development Division of Experiencias Xcaret, received double recognition: “Best Water Park in the World” and “Best International Theme Park”.
Xcaret is a 100% Mexican park that pays tribute to our country every day. It opened its doors in 1990 and since then it has received 23 million visitors from all over the world. It constantly enriches its offerings with new attractions. It was awarded the recognition in 2016 and 2017, and now it’s endorsing it for the third consecutive year.
The Travvy Awards, presented by the company TravAlliancemedia, recognize the highest standards of excellence in the international tourism industry. They are held annually in the United States and recognize the most select of the travel industry in the world, through voting to choose the best in each of the categories: airlines, leasing, cruises, destinations, hotels and resorts, travel agencies and insurers, among others.
